Elteb Tea is a Pure Ceylon Tea. It is a single estate tea that comes from the Uva ‘medium’ tea growing region of Sri Lanka.

This region is best known for its uniqueness in climate that does something astounding to the tea plants. Warm days and cold nights cause a disruption to the tea plant’s natural process of photosynthesis. As a result, the chemical structure of the plants experience a natural alteration. This abnormal phenomenon gives teas from Uva region their distinctive natural minty/menthol flavour. Thereby making Uva teas to be generally highly sought after by tea connoisseurs all over the world.

The tea estate stands at an elevation between 610m to 1200m above sea level. It is named after Captain Gordon, the one time owner, who fought at the battle of El Teb. He would relate stories of his exploits so frequently that he was also known as “El- Teb Gordon” and hence, the name This high grown Broken Orange Pekoe Fannings is a medially strong black tea with a tawny hue.

A cup of Elteb Tea is ideally suited for morning & evenings. It’s tawny hue texture is best preserved by brewing 1 to 2 teaspoons in boiling water for 3 to 5 minutes and sipped without sugar.
