Sarnia Plaiderie Tea is a Pure Ceylon Tea. It is a single estate tea that comes from the Uva ‘medium’ tea growing region of Sri Lanka.

This region is best known for its uniqueness in climate that does something astounding to the tea plants. Warm days and cold nights cause a disruption to the tea plant’s natural process of photosynthesis. As a result, the chemical structure of the plants experience a natural alteration. This abnormal phenomenon gives teas from Uva region their distinctive natural minty/menthol flavour. Thereby making Uva teas to be generally highly sought after by tea connoisseurs all over the world.

The tea factory is in Badulla District at an altitude of 900 m to 1,180 m. These teas are small and slightly open pieces of leaves giving the tea a light, delicate and bright liquor. The uniqueness of the Uva climate contributes to further enrich the liquor characteristics of this tea into seasonal flavours.

Sarnia Plaiderie Tea is enjoyed best as an evening tea, it’s menthol taste best preserved by brewing 1 to 2 teaspoons in boiling water for 3 to 5 minutes and sipped without sugar.
